SUMMARY:Uncle David's Ice Cream Shop/Buddy Walk
DESCRIPTION:Many of us are familiar with the very popular Buddy Walk that happens every year in Rehoboth Beach.  In recent times\, support for our local neighbors who have Downs Syndrome has expanded in an exciting way!  Jim Watson — a former healthcare executive and parent of a son with Downs Syndrome — has taken awareness and fundraising to the next level with the creation of Uncle David’s Ice Cream Shop.  With a retail store opening soon on Rehoboth Avenue\, and mobile trucks and carts available now for corporate\, community and neighborhood events\, support for Delaware residents with Downs Syndrome is growing!  One of the best facets of Uncle David’s Ice Cream Shop (serving Hopkins Dairy ice cream by the way!) is that every entity is staffed by paid employees with Downs Syndrome.  A total win-win!
